Based in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, you, as (Junior) Product Owner – SWANS®, are a part of the global Land Site Characterisation (LSC) team. In your role you seek to maximize this product’s value. You think through and define product direction, create the user stories, prioritise the backlog and provide feedback to the development team. Understanding your client’s needs, whilst engineering business objectives, you can translate these needs into developmental vision & requirements and successfully deliver innovation to the market based on an already established business cases.

SWANS® is an exciting, rapidly developing, passive seismic technology. As part of a broader site screening solution, SWANS® provides clients with a powerful and low impact means to reduce subsurface uncertainty and manage ground risk early in the asset cycle. Thus, helping our clients meet their engineering business objectives.

In your role you will travel as dictated by the global roll plan to countries where Fugro has offices for example UK, USA, Singapore, Dubai & Australia. You are mentored by top level management and receive additional training and coaching to help you grow. We will help you to develop your personal leadership skills as well as provide you with additional (technical) trainings which interest you most.

Your role

  • Understand client needs and marketing opportunities;
  • Define the product direction, create the user stories, prioritise the backlog and provide feedback to the geophysical innovation team;
  • Design product business case and the client value proposition;
  • Follows and delivers Idea2Value / SMART process to manage all aspects of the commercialisation process;
  • Act as the key interface between the operational business and the geophysical innovation team;
  • Delivers innovation project on specification, time and within budget as defined by business case.

Your trackrecord

  • You have as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant earth science discipline.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of geo-data environments.
  • You have experience in business or product development.
  • You are process driven, have attention to detail and are well organized.
  • You have the ability to think outside the box. Re-conceptualize problems and provide solutions.
  • You have excellent English language skills both written and oral.
